Summary: This position supports the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Chemical Biological Center (CBC). The primary work location is Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland with travel to other locations in the Continental United States.
Job Description:
Coordinate and conduct evaluations of safety and industrial hygiene exposure assessments and evaluations to include assigned surety and chemical laboratory hoods and glove boxes.
Complete evaluation trend analysis, identifying operational improvements necessary for CBC and the R&D community in the handling of nuclear, biological and chemical materials.
Identify and monitor industrial hygiene Government test equipment and perform analysis of failed equipment
Analyze faulty and out-of-tolerance ventilation systems and recommend upgrades to improve operating efficiency
Conduct reviews of related CBR/TIC/TIM/AE Hazard Analyses, and related pre-operational surveys to ensure proper risk management controls are in place in order to safely conduct hazardous operations.
Assist in CBC Safety and Health Programs Research and Analysis
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the field of engineer controls certification
Must bring experience in conducting and certifying chemical laboratory hoods and gloves.
Must have experience and working knowledge of chemical surety programs.
Must have a technical degree above a high school diploma
Must have experience and expertise in Safety and Risk Management Services, Health Physics, Chemical and Biological Surety, Emergency Management Services, Hazardous Work Protection.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must maintain an active Secret clearance.
