NEPA Specialist

Summary
We are seeking a NEPA Specialist to join our team. The NEPA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations. This individual will work closely with various stakeholders to assess environmental impacts, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare environmental documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • One year of NEPA work experience that includes demonstrated skills and abilities (e.g., internal and external scoping, document preparation, public reviews and comments, issue/impact analysis, development and screening of alternatives, cumulative effects analysis, staffing and coordination of draft and final documents, mitigation plan development, and follow up monitoring to ensure assumptions, conclusions, and anticipated results of mitigation remain valid).Proven experience working with NEPA regulations and environmental permitting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental impact assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental assessments and impact studies in accordance with NEPA requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop strategies for minimizing environmental impacts.
  • Ensure all environmental documentation is accurate and compliant with NEPA regulations.
  • Review project plans and proposals to identify potential environmental issues.
  • Communicate environmental findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in environmental regulations and best practices
