Job Summary:
Join an elite mission supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the Southern California region, where your operational leadership will ensure seamless building maintenance and service delivery across a network of critical federal sites. As the Service Manager for DAWSON’s contract team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of facility operations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response. You’ll coordinate service teams across dispersed locations, maintain schedule integrity, and enforce service quality standards, ensuring the built environment supports the mission of securing America’s borders.
Location: Southern California (San Diego/El Centro Region)
Responsibilities:
Direct and manage day-to-day building maintenance operations across CBP’s facilities, ensuring timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Supervise trade and technical personnel, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance, and subcontractors.
Coordinate and schedule resources, monitor daily workflows, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.
Interface with the Contract Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Government representatives to resolve service issues and support mission-critical operations.
Respond to urgent or emergency service calls in accordance with the contract’s specified response times.
Maintain and monitor work orders and service tickets using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ensure that tools, materials, certifications, and documentation are up to date and accessible for team performance and audits.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience supervising building operations, maintenance services, or facilities programs, with 2 years in a federal or high-security setting preferred.
Strong understanding of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and relevant safety standards for facility management.
Proficiency in CMMS platforms (e.g., TRIRIGA or equivalent).
Strong organizational and communication skills to manage personnel, prioritize work, and meet operational goals.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible for CBP background investigation and suitability clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
