Construction Laborer

Department: Construction - Pacific
Location: Honolulu, HI

Salary Range: $21.00-$35.00

Summary: Dawson is searching for experienced candidates for the position of construction laborer. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background check for base access
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Must submit resume
  • Must be willing to complete OSHA 30 safety training and/ or possess a valid OSHA 30 card
  • Must be willing to complete EM 385-1-1 safety training and / or possess a valid certificate

Responsibilities for a construction laborer includes:

  • You will assist other tradesmen or work independently accomplishing construction and maintenance tasks
  • Experience in carpentry, masonry, drywall, or construction labor required
  • You will perform construction related tasks in and around undeveloped and remote areas in adverse conditions
  • You will perform tasks requiring repeated heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, digging, hauling, standing, walking, kneeling, stooping and squatting
  • You will operate a variety of equipment as required for project need
  • You will be required to work outside on various job sites in all weather conditions
  • You will be responsible for maintaining our accident prevention program and ensuring safety is the highest priority

Duties for construction laborer:

  • General Labor Duties and assist construction managers
  • Erosion control
  • May assist with controlling traffic
  • Work will include outdoor and indoor work, working at heights and working in confined spaces
  • Sweeping and cleaning up debris
  • Posting signage
  • Assisting Construction team with daily duties
  • A successful Construction Laborer will typically progress onto Superintendent or Construction Manager
