Training and Logistic Support Specialists

SUMMARY:

Dawson is searching for training and logistics support candidates to support the Army National Guard family readiness training and logistics services support by aiding in the planning, development, and support requirements of family readiness training, policy, travel, and group meetings. Support leads to certification of each state’s Military Family Readiness System (MFRS) and work location will be Army Readiness Center (TARC), Arlington, VA with travel to all 54 states and territories.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize the Task Management Tool (TMT) for meeting scheduling, meeting notes and other administrative duties as assigned.

  • Coordinate teleconferences and webinars.

  • Coordinate and schedule onsite visits.

  • Provide logistics and purchasing support for plaques; engraving services; reproduction services; iPads for evaluators, office supplies; audio/visual assistance; marketing, hospitality/catering; and other logistical support or supplies for certification activities.

  • Coordinate training and logistical support for annual and quarterly meetings as well as training workshops.

  • Provide logistical support to local and remote leadership.

  • Prepare and produce executive level information papers, written material, and reports utilizing data (i.e., database, demographics, etc.) and provide analysis.

  • Consolidate PERSTAT reporting for the office.

  • Attend meetings as required.

  • Provide Tier 1 - Client Helpdesk and System Administrator and Tier 2 - Client System Administrator support to database system access and administrative support to NGB-DEI leaders.

  • Conduct an After-Action Review and prepare an After-Action Report

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred:

  • Five or more years’ experience with event planning and logistical support

  • Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Required:

  • Three years’ experience with event planning and logistical support

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Superior analytical skills, leadership, communication, influence, conflict resolution, stakeholder manager, planning/resource management, and a mastery of program/project tools and techniques.

  • Organizational skills: able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, ensuring all aspects of the logistics process are running smoothly.

  • Able to evaluate unforeseen changes in logistics processes, determine resolutions, and implement them quickly.

  • Customer-centric approach to work, as customer satisfaction remains a primary concern for event planning and execution.

  • Comfortable with technology and able to use it to manage presentations, implement QR codes for surveys and needs assessments, and social media for marketing of events.

  • Communication skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, government staff, customers, and venues.

  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
