Senior Mobile Communications SME - AE/MEFPAK

POSITION SUMMARY

Senior Mobile Communications SME to sustain the communications hardware and software embedded in Aeromedical Evacuation and MEFPAK equipment packages. This role monitors site status, troubleshoots radio systems, advises field operators, and maintains readiness and training documentation. Location for this work is at Scott AFB, IL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify fielded communications hardware/software documentation, readiness accountability, configuration, and operational capability.
  • Provide telephone and remote troubleshooting for radio and communications systems in the AE inventory and allowance standards.
  • Advise operators on installation, operational use, technical analysis, minor/major field repair, and radio-system assessments.
  • Develop electronic operator and maintenance training plans, CONOPS, TTPs, MISCAP/UTC inputs, and METLs.
  • Coordinate with UTC pilot units, communications operators, AMC/A6, and MEFPAK managers on repair, refresh, and standardized pack-out guidance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Senior-level experience with mobile, tactical, radio, or expeditionary communications systems and field troubleshooting.
  • Ability to develop technical guidance and training, evaluate radio systems, and communicate repair/operational instructions to remote users.
  • Experience with configuration/readiness documentation, CONOPS/TTPs, equipment packages, or UTC support.
  • Current Tier 3 investigation with Secret eligibility and enrollment in Continuous Vetting; ability to obtain and maintain interim or final Secret access, CAC, system access, and required Government training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • USAF/AMC Aeromedical Evacuation, medical communications, MEFPAK, allowance-standard, or AMC/A6 experience.
  • Military communications specialty training or technical degree/certification; equivalent experience is acceptable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  • Full-time, primarily onsite at Scott AFB, Illinois, during Government core hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; short-notice schedule adjustments may be required.
  • Telework is not guaranteed and may be authorized only when the Government and contract permit situational telework.
  • The role may require CONUS/OCONUS temporary-duty travel for meetings, site surveys, training, exercises, testing, or mission support, including possible travel aboard DoD aircraft.

Salary Range: $47 - $58 per hour
