Graphic Artist (Secret Clearance)

  • Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000

Position: Graphic Artist

We are looking for a skilled Graphic Artist to join our team and assist in administering a public webpage via the Air Force Public Information Management System. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, launching, and sustaining engaging content as part of a holistic public relations/communication approach. Additionally, the Graphic Artist will collaborate with the team to garner articles and develop quarterly newsletters, provide photography, videography, graphical development, reproduction support, and more.

Location: Tyndall AFB, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Administer a public webpage via the Air Force Public Information Management System.
  • Develop, launch, and sustain engaging content for the webpage.
  • Collaborate with the team to gather articles and develop quarterly newsletters.
  • Design and layout newsletters.
  • Provide photography, videography, and graphical development support.
  • Develop and reproduce cubical personnel nametags and individual business cards.
  • Utilize proficient photography skills using an SLR camera.
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud applications for graphic design tasks.
  • Employ tools such as Alien Skin Eye Candy 7, Noiseware, Auto FX Photo, Wondershare UniConverter, Perfect Resize 22, Autodesk 3D Max 2022, etc.
  • Utilize Pantone Color Bridge Guide Set, Pantone Connect for Adobe CC, Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, Digital Juice, Freepike Premium Images, and other resources.
  • Stay up to date and provide updates to the client on current graphic design trends, techniques, and software.
  • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Own the creative process from concepting to preparing final files based on supplied specifications for all types of outlets including web applications, paid media, social, digital, and printing.
  • Package and prepare files for release to customers.
  • Perform color calibration and ensure consistent color reproduction.
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulation for various needs.
  • Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos, and other artwork

Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience as a production artist, graphic designer, or similar role.
  • Proven experience in graphic design, preferably in a public relations/communication role.
  • Experience with digital content, such as social media, online advertising, and email campaigns.

Clearance:

  • Secret

Design Skills:

  • Ability to design static and dynamic ad creative for paid advertising and social campaigns.
  • Develop creative layouts for digital ads, presentations, email campaigns, brochures (digital and print), white papers, and similar marketing materials.
  • Experience editing short video content.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools and plugins such as Alien Skin Eye Candy 7, Noiseware, Auto FX Photo, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (XD and Figma a plus!).
  • Understanding of layout and design principles.
  • Strong photography skills using SLR camera as well as other digital equipment photography equipment.
  • Ability to design within brand guidelines.

Additional Skills:

  • Basic IT management and trouble-shooting knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe AfterEffects.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Notable attention to detail in all aspects of design and production processes.
