Project Manager

Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000

Project Manager

Position Summary: The Project Manager will manage and oversee all aspects of the project(s) to which he/she is assigned. A successful PM will identify and secure internal and external resources, interact with the client, manage schedules and budgets, ensure safe execution of field work, and deliver quality work product as defined by DAWSON, clients and regulatory agencies. This is a full-time onsite position located in the Research Triangle Park area, and is dependent upon contract award. Up to 10% domestic travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Capable of developing Construction-based Task Order Estimates and Project Budgets; and meeting the specified performance standards as laid out in the Client Contract and DAWSON Proposal

  • Manages preventative and corrective maintenance schedules and project budgets

  • Ensures adherence to all safety and quality practices and procedures while supervising the performance of tasks in all work areas

  • Coordinates and supervises assigned project staff and subcontractors

  • Promptly notifies Corporate Management of all potential contract changes

  • Prepares written reports and other documents necessary for the completion of specific projects

  • Cultivates and maintains the necessary contacts with clients and regulatory agency personnel

  • Trains and mentors project staff

  • Continuously monitors risks to the project to determine necessary resources, funding, or schedule changes to mitigate challenges

  • Creates data presentations

  • Must be able to commute to site within 2 hours if emergencies arise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field AND 3+ years project management experience; OR 8+ years of project management experience in Operations & Maintenance or Construction

  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check in order to gain badging access to federal buildings

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience managing projects $1 million or more in annual value

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Must be able to review and edit reports and proposals

  • Ability to delegate work and handle multiple projects

  • Ability to proactively create, control, modify and manage budgets and schedules

  • Ability to analyze and control project risks, both operationally and financially

  • Proficient with standard Microsoft office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP

  • Experience managing government contracts

  • Knowledge of FAR clauses
