Supply Chain Management Team Lead

SUMMARY:

DAWSON is looking for the next Supply Chain Management Team Lead in San Antonio, TX. The Supply Chain Management Team Lead will provide logistical support for the Logistics Division and one of its three branches, Supply Chain Management. The Supply Chain Management branch encompasses Administration, Warehouse, Forward Logistics, and Material Management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall supervision and operations of Supply Chain Management.
  • Responsible for receiving, processing, storage and issuing of supplies and gases.
  • Responsible for overseeing customer support.
  • Responsible for overseeing acquisitions, inventory management and financial processing.
  • Complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996(HIPAA), Joint Commission, Medical Command(MEDCOM), Southern Regional Medical Command(SRMC) and other appropriate governing directives regarding the management and release of medical information.
  • With the direction of government oversight, assist government staff in developing methods to prepare department-specific daily, weekly, or monthly reports by collecting, analyzing, and compiling data. This is not limited to spreadsheets, databases, and local templates.
  • Assist in research, gathers, and consolidates material and prepares narrative statistical periodic and special reports pertaining to the activities of the branch.
  • Establishes, maintains, manipulates, and extracts data base information for a variety or reports, files, correspondence and performs requires updates. Uses a variety of media in the retrieval, publication and/or update of data.
  • With the direction of government oversight, attends meetings with branch personnel with the intent to collect and prepare minutes and upon return communicates necessary information to required individuals for review and approval. Assist in coordination, scheduling and conduct of training sessions.
  • Attend and successfully complete all mandatory government unique training in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Complete and submit require government manpower hour submissions using as directed to reflect actual hours worked while employed by the facility for approval by the authorized government representative.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has supervisory responsibilities.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or similar degree.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience as well as supervisor experience in logistic operations.
  • Must complete and pass a local background check prior to employment. Employee is subject to periodic checks throughout the performance period.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong technical capacity and ability to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Extensive knowledge of customer service best practices with ability to resolve issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
  • Extensive knowledge of supply operations, supply regulations, policies and management techniques required to determine action to be taken when established guidelines are not clearly defined.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity both independently and collaboratively.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and effectively managing programs as a proficient problem solver and teamwork supporter.
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational and time management skills with the ability to delegate and assign tasks.
  • Must wear protective safety equipment to include steel toe shoes, gloves, glasses, disposable footwear, as work environment dictates.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license to operate government owned forklift.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license class “C” and have vehicle liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.
  • Must be able to operate utilize carts, motorized carts, and pallet jacks.
  • This position requires a Non-Disclosure Agreement form signed by contractor employee.
