Maintenance Electrician

Salary Range:$24.37-$26.00

  • This position is Service Contract Act which is subject to Health & Welfare benefits

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Electrician

SUMMARY: Performs maintenance and repair of bay and hangar doors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be available for emergency calls after normal working hours
  • Normal working hours are expected to be Mon-Thurs 0700-1730
  • Perform general maintenance, inspection and repairs on bay and hangar doors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The bay and hangar doors electrician shall be licensed and certified, preferably with two (2) years’ experience working on various bay and hangar doors
  • Able to read/modify electrical diagrams and perform electrical repairs.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain OSHA certification to operate a man lift or scissor lift.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude
  • Applied analytical skills to recognize when a specialized trade is needed for various tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Frequently required to stand
  • Frequently required to walk
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places
  • Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision;
  • Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to drive company vehicle
